Location

You’re in the middle of it all, but not overwhelmed by it. MOLLIE Aspen sits on the corner of Main Street and Garmisch Street, directly across from Paepcke Park and just two blocks from the bustle of Restaurant Row.

This is Aspen at its most walkable—a 10-minute stroll to the Silver Queen Gondola, a quick shuttle to Buttermilk or Highlands, and a short drive to Snowmass.

In the warmer months, the location invites a certain spontaneity. You can wander into the John Denver Sanctuary, a quiet riverside escape where wildflowers edge engraved stone lyrics. Or hop on a Bluejay e-bike from the hotel and follow the Rio Grande Trail, tracing the Roaring Fork River with sweeping views and very few decisions required.

Hiking, fly-fishing, and gallery-hopping all unfold effortlessly from this central base, while summer brings marquee events like the Aspen Ideas Festival, Food & Wine Classic, and Aspen Music Festival to your doorstep.

But the real appeal is how MOLLIE lets you dip into Aspen’s scene without ever being swallowed by it. Here, mountain energy is tempered with calm, and days are well-spent, whether you’re out and about or curled up by the fire in the lobby, Sightglass coffee in hand.

Design

Scandinavian clarity meets Japanese restraint, all of which is warmed by the personality of the American West. That’s MOLLIE. Nothing shouts, but everything speaks.

Designed by Post Company (of INNESS and Scribner’s Catskill Lodge fame), the interiors take a wabi-sabi approach to mountain living. Thermally modified wood siding, sand-casted brass, and hand-dyed textiles feel as though they belong to the landscape rather than sit on top of it.

Artwork from contemporary names and vintage furniture mingle naturally, and the woven installation by Rachel Snack above the fireplace adds a dose of texture and gravitas to the lobby.

It’s not just beautiful, it’s considered. The entire building leans into sustainability with high-efficiency heating and a 65kW solar array. Even the rain gardens and Rivian EV fleet go beyond performative sustainability.

Rooms

With 68 residential-style rooms, MOLLIE manages to balance intimacy with sophistication. You’ll find Swedish L:A Bruket bath amenities, Parachute Egyptian cotton sheets, Waterworks rainfall showers, and Coyuchi robes—the kind of details that don’t necessarily demand your attention but quietly elevate your stay.

If you can, opt for the Park View Corner Suite (629 sq ft) for the most expansive experience. For something romantic but more compact, the Aspen Mountain Terrace King gives you fresh air and scenery, making even a morning tea feel more cinematic.

Each room comes with Sightglass coffee, a Fellow kettle, and a curated minibar. But what you’ll remember most is the peacefulness. No clutter, no excess. Just good design that knows when to step back.

Food & Drink

The menus echo the interiors—thoughtful and warm. MOLLIE’s food and beverage program leans into seasonal simplicity, drawing from aforementioned Scandinavian and Japanese influences.

The main restaurant and bar offers all-day dining consisting of mountainside comfort food reimagined with elegant restraint. Breakfast through dinner, there’s a focus on vibrant ingredients prepared with care, and cocktails are creative and classic—never cloying or contrived.

The lobby café is a local’s dream. For those with plans (or powder days), it’s grab-and-go done properly.

Starting in 2025, the roof terrace bar will transform into a coveted sunset perch, with its spa pool and snack menu that offers a different kind of après-ski.
