Design
The Lodge, driven by Romain Michel-Ménière's passion, is an homage to Berber architectural heritage. Historically, Berber structures stood majestic, molded from mud brick or pisé, serving as crucial trading centers. Today, they lend the region a distinctive, earthy allure.
Drawing on his extensive background, including projects like Marrakech's famed Nomad and Kasbah Bab Ourika, Romain possesses a deep understanding of the Berber aesthetic. Although securing the perfect land was challenging, the Lodge ultimately took root in an ancient olive grove.
Enter the skill of Studio KO—globally celebrated for designs like André Balazs's Chiltern Firehouse and the Musée Yves Saint Laurent. Together, they've created the Berber Lodge, masterfully fusing tradition with modern sophistication.
Rooms
Berber Lodge features nine unique suites, set apart from the main residence. The prevailing aesthetic? Minimalist Berber with Romain's signature touch. HIs specialty seems to be blending elements to create visual interest—picture a finely wrought lamp next to an aged wooden chest.
Spacious and thoughtfully arranged, these suites are tailored for comfort and accessibility, perfect for couples or small families.

Every day, the chef conjures up fresh culinary wonders, and as guests, you’re cordially invited to exchange tales while engaging in kitchen camaraderie.
The majority of the staff are from the adjacent village, their authentic warmth evident in every interaction.
